Project Overview: Led the end-to-end redesign of an operating live-performance stage, combining project management, technical design, fabrication, and systems integration. Delivered the approximately $20,000 project from concept through commissioning, integrating custom lighting, DMX control, projection, haze, audio, and scenic elements while managing budget, procurement, installation, volunteers, and recurring operational deadlines.

Creative & Technical Design: Developed the overall stage concept, including fixture placement, lighting coverage and color, curtains, projection surfaces, and scenic elements to create a cohesive performance environment.
Custom Design & Cost Optimization: Evaluated commercial lighting solutions against project requirements and cost, then designed, fabricated, wired, and installed 12 custom LED fixtures where commercial alternatives were prohibitively expensive. Completed heat-sink selection and power-supply sizing and designed an integrated stage-lip uplight, balancing visual impact, performance, reliability, and cost.
Lighting & Show Control: Selected and installed theatrical lighting, built custom DMX cabling, configured the control network, and programmed lighting and haze for live productions.
Projection & Scenic Integration: Designed and fabricated custom projection screens and completed projector placement, alignment, and multi-surface mapping to integrate video content into the physical stage design.
Project Planning & Delivery: Sequenced construction around weekly live-service deadlines, establishing staged milestones that kept critical systems operational while progressing toward a fixed Easter completion target.
Installation & Safety: Coordinated installation using scaffolding and scissor lifts, reinforced safe equipment practices with volunteers, and ensured suspended fixtures used appropriate mounting hardware and secondary safety restraints.
